Why IT?

IT Professionals have interesting and exciting careers in almost every type of company and organization. Their presence is a requirement for doing any kind of business, research, education, or even public service. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Office of Occupational Statistics and Employment Projections, “Employment of computer support specialists is expected to increase by 14 percent from 2008 to 2018, which is faster than the average for all occupations.” The Riley Guide projects an increase in new computer support jobs in Virginia to continue at a rate of 1,080 per year for at least the next six years. A majority of those jobs will be in Northern Virginia, which includes the Fredericksburg area.
